How to tell whether a home nurse is actually qualified

There is a registration number, and there is a way to check it.

Every qualified nurse in Tamil Nadu is registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council and has a registration number. Ask for it, and for the certificate it is printed on.

Check that the name on the certificate matches the name on a government ID, and that the photograph matches the person in front of you.

Ask what they were trained in and what they have done recently. A good nurse will tell you plainly what is within their training and what needs a doctor.
